A Note from Angela ...
An attorney by trade, I followed God's leading and joined FCA Piney Woods as a staff member in 2018. My husband is a college coach, so I my profession as an FCA director in this community holds a very personal place in my heart. Our FCA staff is located primarily in Huntsville, Texas, but we serve a radius of over 100 miles in every direction. FCA has provided pathways to sharing the Gospel on and off campus in our extended community. My family, friends, and church have been so supportive. I am so thankful to serve in this community in the capacity of FCA and pray that God continues to bless our community through the ministry and staff of FCA!

Mission
The Ministry
In our area, we have huddles in Junior Highs, High Schools, and at Sam Houston State University! We hope to keep expanding to the schools and sports who are not yet reached.
A Huddle is a certified ministry program where two or more coaches or athletes meet on a regular basis to grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ and His church.
Examples of what a huddle looks like is a time of fellowship, and getting into God's Word through devotionals, a short message, breakout groups, etc.
FCA is a ministry that is heavily focused on discipleship! Making disciples who make disciples. This is our call as followers of Jesus, to share the Good News of Christ to those around us, and to empower those you disciple to disciple other around them!
We use a strategy called E3, which is explained down below!
We love camps! Camps have been an effective way to get student athletes aways from their day to day grind of life, into a space of like-minded people to fellowship and learn about the Lord! We host both youth and college aged student-atheltes!
Fields of Faith in a community event in our area that we love to host every year in the fall! We invite local churches, all schools in our area (including junior high, high school, and Sam Houston State University). This is a time where we as the BODY of Christ can come together in fellowship and unity as we praise the Lord through worship, testimony, and a message!

Empower
We Engage coaches and athletes through genuine relationships sharing our lives and the Gospel. "We cared so much for you that we were pleased to share with you not only the gospel of God but also our own lives, because you had become dear to us." (1 Thessalonians 2:8 CSB)
After cultivating relationships and once coaches and athletes come to faith in Christ, we want to Equip them with Christ-centered training, tools, and ongoing support. We equip coaches and athletes to grow in Christ through God's Word. "…12 to equip the saints for the work of ministry, to build up the body of Christ.” (Ephesians 4:12 CSB)
Once equipped, we Empower coaches and athletes to help others experience salvation in Jesus, grow in their faith, and share Him with others. We desire to Engage, Equip, and Empower coaches and athletes to make disciples who do the same to others. "What you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses, commit to faithful men who will be able to teach others also." (2 Timothy 2:2 CSB)
